The Italian Youth Forum (IYF) is the largest youth cultural event in Italy, promoted since 2018 by the Italian Youth Association for UNESCO (AIGU). Organized entirely by and for young people, it takes place every year in a different city, bringing together young men and women from across the country alongside institutions, professionals, and prominent national and international guests.
The IYF represents a primary space for youth training, networking, and empowerment. Its goal is to analyze UNESCO themes and the most current and pressing challenges of the international debate through the perspective of the new generations. Through a dynamic program that alternates speeches, talks, artistic performances, and hands-on workshops, the event culminates in a moment of collective presentation, where concrete ideas and proposals are developed and submitted to institutions.
Testifying to the high value of the initiative, back in 2018 during the Matera edition, AIGU was awarded the Medal of Representation by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
