Grazia Eleonora Vita holds a PhD in Legal Studies – International Law from the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, where she carries out research and teaching activities in international law, with a primary focus on international environmental law. Her scholarly research concentrates on the intersection between public and private international law, environmental protection and human rights, corporate responsibility, and transnational litigation.
After graduating in Law (Laurea in Giurisprudenza) summa cum laude from the University of Bologna in 2021—with a thesis dedicated to corporate responsibility, human rights, and the environment—she earned an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution from King’s College London. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research visits at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University and the University of Geneva, and attended The Hague Academy of International Law.
Alongside her academic pursuits, she works in international arbitration and dispute resolution. She serves as a Case Manager at the Milan Chamber of Arbitration and collaborates with the Italian State Attorney’s Office (Avvocatura Generale dello Stato) in international investment arbitration proceedings. She is also an Editorial Advisor for the University of Bologna Law Review, where she previously served as Editor-in-Chief.
Her personal interests revolve around art, music, theater, and, more broadly, diverse forms of cultural expression. She devotes particular focus to sustainability, environmental protection, and human rights, which also serve as the central thread unifying her research activities.
She has been a member of the Italian Youth Association for UNESCO (AIGU – ETS) since 2018. Over the years, she has held various leadership roles within the association, including Regional Communications Officer for the Emilia-Romagna Regional Committee, National Social Media Coordinator, and, from 2024 to 2026, Vice President.
