Miriam Campese

I live in Bolzano, the gateway city to the Dolomites. After completing my master’s degree in tourism destination development in Belgium, with a focus on UNESCO heritage as a symbol of tourist attraction and territorial development, I specialised in the organisation of sustainable sporting events for tourism destinations with a social and environmental focus. Since 2021 I have been working as an event organiser and I currently hold a position at the Province of Bolzano for the organisation of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, alongside a PhD project focusing on the role of women in sports event management for the development of gender-responsive societies. A lifelong lover of sport, figure skating in particular, cooking and backpacking tours, I believe that education, understood as training and research, is the key turning point in the life and career of every person in the world.
