Lucilla Crespi, born in 1997, is a PhD candidate in Classics (ancient Greek literature) at the University of Edinburgh, where she previously graduated with top marks with both an MA (Hons) and an MSc (by research) in Classics.
She is co-founder of the association Break The Silence Italia, which works to combat gender-based violence and discrimination through training in schools, universities and businesses, as well as offline and online activism campaigns.
She also holds the role of Senior Editor of the New Classicists Postgraduate Journal, a student-run academic journal in partnership with the ICS and UCL in London.
She joined AIGU in 2020, where she first held the role of regional communication officer for the Lazio Committee.
Her interests include activism for human rights and sustainability, digital communication in the field of the humanities, and the management and dissemination of everything related to cultural heritage.
