Lidiana Arrè

Lidiana Arrè, born in 1996, is a structural engineer. She began her academic journey in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari, and later continued her studies at the University of Bologna, where she attended the international course in Civil Engineering. In 2022 she graduated with a thesis focused on metal 3D printing and its potential in the construction sector, a project partially developed at TU Braunschweig in Germany. She is currently pursuing this line of research within a PhD at the University of Bologna, with a focus on technological innovation and the circular economy. As part of this path, she spent a period at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, where she explored in particular the environmental implications of the technologies studied. Culture, especially painting and architecture, is for her a source of inspiration that enriches her approach to research and engineering. She has been a member of AIGU since 2023 and, since 2024, has held the role of co-regional representative for Emilia-Romagna.
