An architect and PhD, her research and professional interests — attested by her participation in conferences, courses, events (including abroad) and working groups, as well as by her publications — include: the relationship between neuroaesthetics and architecture, the relationship between art, architecture and landscape, urban regeneration in peripheral areas, and the impact of new energy infrastructure networks on the landscape.
In 2022 she published, with Quodlibet, her first monograph, dedicated to the experience of Fiumara d’Arte in Sicily, a phenomenon without equal in the Italian artistic and architectural panorama of the last 35 years. In 2023 she collaborated on one of the design proposals exhibited at the Egyptian Pavilion “NiLab” at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale and contributed to the December issue of Domus magazine, entitled “Italia Fragile”, with a critical essay on a social housing project in San Giovanni in Fiore, Calabria.
For several years she has been carrying out research at the Landscape_inProgress laboratory of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria, where she has also been a contract lecturer in Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design (academic year 2023-2024).
Community- and territory-oriented associative work, together with an interest in tangible and intangible cultural heritage, especially that of Southern Italy, has led her over the years to organise and take part in events, and accompanies her today in her local and national activities within AIGU.
