Born in 1989, Eleonora Orfanò graduated with top marks in 2016 in “Communication and Enhancement of Contemporary Artistic Heritage” at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania.
She subsequently enriched her educational background by attending the Master’s in “European Project Design”, organised by EUROPA CUBE INNOVATION Business School, where she acquired the foundations for drafting and submitting a European project.
The course “Leggere gli spazi del museo. Una riflessione a più voci e a più sguardi sui dispositivi interpretativi”, organised at La Galleria Nazionale di Roma and the Museo Laboratorio della Mente (Polo Museale ASL Roma 1), allowed her to become aware of the interpretative and communicative approaches that can be used to engage different types of audiences within exhibition spaces.
She then explored this subject further through her participation in the International Advanced Training Programme in “Audience Development” organised by Fondazione Fitzcarraldo. Through Connecting Audiences she was given the tools to create and implement an audience engagement strategy.
After various internships, including one at MUBA (Museo dei Bambini, Milan), and participation in cultural events including “Countless Cities. Biennale delle città dal mondo”, organised at Farm Cultural Park, she now collaborates with several Sicilian cultural organisations.
She joined AIGU in January 2020 and in November 2020 took on the role of Regional Representative for Sicily.
